Mechanical Design Engineer

A multi-million pound turnover M&E contractor enjoying continued success seeks the solid appointment of a talented and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their highly stable and reputable organization.

Based out of their West Midlands offices, this award-winning contractor covers multiple schemes ranging from high-end residential to commercial and industrial projects.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have a background in M&E / Mechanical & Electrical Services / Building Services or HVAC.

Responsibilities

1. Produce heating/cooling (thermal modelling) and ventilation load calculations using industry software.
2. Size and select equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, extract fans, pumps, chillers, ASHP, boilers, plate heat exchangers, etc.
3. Produce above-ground drainage calculations and size drainage systems.

Desired Skills

Experience with design software such as Hevacomp, Carrier HAP, CyMap, IES/TAS is highly desirable.
