Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (HND acceptable with relevant experience).
• Experience with 3D CAD (Creo or SolidWorks).
• Experience generating designs and drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T, limits & fits, and design for manufacture.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with motors, rotating machinery, actuation systems.
• Documentation experience for engineering outputs.
• Proactive, solutions-focused and team player.
• Strong communication and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering design, analysis, calculations and technical assessments across projects.
• Produce and maintain drawings, specifications, reports and calculations.
• Apply engineering standards, procedures and best practice.
• Support solution development throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to technical reviews and project reviews.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
• Support testing, verification, validation and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practice.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engineering activities and technical work packages across a range of projects. The role involves applying established engineering principles to develop safe, compliant and effective solutions, while continuing to build your technical capability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engineering design, analysis, calculations and technical assessments
• Producing and maintaining engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, reports and calculations
• Applying engineering standards, procedures and best practice
• Supporting engineering solution development throughout the project lifecycle
• Contributing to technical, design and project reviews
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
• Supporting testing, verification, validation and commissioning activities
• Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
• Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering best practice
• Taking ownership of personal development and technical growth

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree or Master's in Mechanical Engineering (HND or equivalent considered with relevant experience)
• Strong 3D CAD capability (ideally Creo or SolidWorks)
• Experience generating engineering designs and drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T, limits & fits, and design for manufacture
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles (mechanics, dynamics, materials)
• Experience with electric motors, rotating machinery, actuation systems, bearings and seals
• Engineering design, analysis, calculations and problem‑solving experience
• Experience preparing engineering documentation (reports, specifications, calculations)
• Technically inquisitive, proactive and solutions‑focused
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Practical, hands‑on approach
• Strong communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable across multiple projects

Desirable

• Experience designing for submerged environments
• Hands‑on experience during fabrication, construction or commissioning
• Working towards professional registration
