Overview

Adept Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with a world–renowned manufacturing business, assisting them in their search for a Design Engineer, to join their established team.

As a member of the Design team, you will be designing bespoke solutions for non–standard applications based on their standard product range.

The business are world–ranking specialists in the manufacturing, designing, and distributing precision engineered mechanical products. The company sets new industry standards in performance, reliability, cost and service.

The role

• Modification of standard products to suit non–standard equipment.
• Bespoke product design, for non–standard applications and equipment
• Design of special test equipment to suit specific applications
• Creation of new stock codes and special bills of materials to aid administration
• Daily liaison with internal and external customers (including end users, sales engineers, and distributors from the UK and overseas)
• Daily liaison with workshops and inspection departments on engineering issues for both standard and special products; solving problems and agreeing concessions
• Assisting the Technical department with special product enquiries
• Providing assistance to the assembly team on testing issues for standard and special products

Required experience

• Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Alternatively, suitable business/industry experience.
• CAD Literate
• Good attention to detail
• Good organisational skills
• IT literate
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to build relationships across numerous departments
