Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: 46,000 – 52,000 + Hybrid + Progression + Training + Benefits

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Location: Portland, Dorset

Are you experienced in mechanical design within an engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing environment? Are you seeking an exciting role within a leading engineering company that offers hybrid working, comprehensive training, and development opportunities?

Due to ongoing growth and an exclusive long-term contract, my client is looking for a design engineer to join their team at their state-of-the-art facility in Portland. The successful candidate will be responsible for discussing, drafting, and designing product layouts based on customer requirements and specifications. You will liaise with customers, as well as the design, projects, and manufacturing teams, utilizing Inventor and AutoCAD to design bespoke, special-purpose equipment and products for clients across various industries such as defense, construction, and manufacturing.

This expanding business has been a leader in its industry for over 20 years. Specializing in bespoke, special-purpose, and advanced equipment for high-profile clients worldwide, the company continues to grow and is expanding multiple departments.
