Job description

Envirogen Group UK Limited is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in delivering innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions. As a key player in our Projects division, you will provide expert technical leadership and guidance in the design and execution of engineering projects.


You will be involved in all aspects of mechanical engineering for projects, including design, analysis, and trouble-shooting. You will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery, adhering to budget and time constraints while maintaining high standards of quality.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical engineering activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and regulations.
  • Perform detailed mechanical design calculations, equipment selection, and analysis for water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Review and provide guidance on engineering documents, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior engineers and help foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture within the team.
  • Attend project status meetings and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the water or wastewater treatment sector.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical system design, hydraulics, and thermodynamics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and mentor other engineers.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical engineering and water treatment.
