Job title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Details

• Job Type: Contract
• IR35 Status: Inside IR35
• Start date: Subject to clearance
• Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract
• Pay rate: £45-55 per hour (depending on experience)
• Location: Preston, Lancashire
• Hybrid/Remote Working: Hybrid
• Hours of work: 37-40 Hours Per Week

Role Responsibilities

• Experience working within multidiscipline teams on mechanical engineering design activities related to chemical process plants or material handling equipment.
• Producing and adhering to design governance documentation such as Design Quality Plans, Design Risk Assessments, and Design Reviews.
• Qualified (HNC/degree) in Mechanical Design, with experience in a Design Office environment.
• Proficient in design software tools like AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, etc.
• Knowledge of responsibilities under the CDM Regulations 2015.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

• Design experience in chemical plant environments including mechanical services.
• Design experience for nuclear facilities.
• Experience in piping and vessel design.

Additional Requirements

UK National Security Vetting: All candidates must be eligible to obtain BPSS Clearance.
