Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Nuneaton.

Reporting to the European NPD Manager, you’ll play a key role in designing and supporting new and existing sheet metal products across their lifecycle – from concept through to production.

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop mechanical products using DFMA principles
• Convert 2D CAD data into 3D models (Solid Edge) and produce accurate drawings
• Build BOMs and collaborate with production to release products
• Support value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to finalise specifications
• Contribute to prototyping and performance evaluation

What we’re looking for:

• HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field
• 8+ years’ experience in sheet metal product design
• Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Edge )
• Strong Excel skills, including use of macros and advanced formulas
• Great communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally

Desirable:

• Experience in HVAC product design
• Knowledge of Lantek CAM, injection moulding, or 3D printing
• Understanding of electrical/electronic theory
