Job summary

ACS Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Northampton to own and deliver projects from concept through to installation. You will produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, interpret briefs, and collaborate with clients, suppliers and installation teams.

You will perform engineering calculations, site surveys, and assessments, manage multiple projects, ensure standards compliance and drive design efficiency across diverse engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in manufacturing or construction.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials and fabrication processes.
• Excellent communication and client-facing confidence.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Full UK driving licence for occasional site visits.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
