Our client, established for over 40 years, designs and manufactures large-scale machinery. They are one of the leading experts in their field, with products exported worldwide.

They work with a diverse range of customers, from SMEs to large multinationals.

We are recruiting on their behalf for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their in-house design team.

Job Description

• Create initial concept drawings for various project sizes.
• Generate 3D models and assemblies.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing.
• Amend drawings to meet customer requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess installation.
• Maintain technical specifications and user documentation.
• Complete Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Liaise closely with the Procurement Department to ensure timely delivery of components.
• Provide technical support and collaborate effectively with sales, purchasing, production, and manufacturing departments.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or HND with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software, with at least 3 years of experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Good time management skills.
• Effective communication skills at all levels.
• Team player mentality.
• Practical approach to problem-solving.
• Driving Licence.

This role offers a 39-hour workweek, Monday to Friday. It is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that values and rewards its team.
