Job summary

ABG - A B Graphic International is seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team in the UK. The role focuses on hands-on design work, creating high-quality mechanical drawings and documentation to support manufacturing, assembly and service activities.

You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, service teams, suppliers and customers to implement design enhancements, drive technical problem-solving, and lead or contribute to multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong CAD skills with experience producing detailed engineering drawing.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate part and assembly drawings to support manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to production staff, service teams, subcontractors, and customers.
• Respond to service-related technical queries and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Lead or contribute to joint engineering projects, offering technical guidance to team members and other departments.
• Proactively review existing products, identify improvement opportunities, and take the lead on implementing design enhancements.
• Liaise with suppliers and, where required, visit customer and supplier sites to support projects and technical investigations.

About the role
