Job summary

CIBSE Journal in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and modify bespoke mechanical equipment, taking projects from concept through to manufacturing. You’ll work with 3D CAD, model assemblies and contribute to hands-on testing in a day-based schedule.

The role requires hands-on assembly and experience with hand tools, machine tools or CNC equipment, with commutable access from nearby towns. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and modifying bespoke mechanical equipment.
• Ability to produce 3D CAD drawings and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on assembly, modification and testing experience.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday 8:30–16:30.

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with experience in both Design and Assembly / Machining looking to Technically develop across a range of skillsets whilst working on Projects from Cradle to Grave?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a Specialist, International company who offer clear training, good progression, long–term job stability and have a great retention rate.

The company are a Multi–million pound manufacturer of scientific and laboratory based equipment. They supply blue chip clients and are continuing to grow.

This is a Monday – Friday days based role out of their high tech HQ. You will be involved with the initial Design, Conceptualisation through to Manufacturing whilst supporting some Mechanical assembly and CNC Machining.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software, alongside practical mechanical assembly experience. With continued growth in these areas this will allow you to progress your career into Project Management.

The Role:

• Design and modification of bespoke mechanical equipment
