The Mechanical Design Engineer Role:

This is a hands–on design role where you ll deliver technical design packages throughout the product lifecycle. You'll be involved in:

• Creating accurate 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Siemens NX
• Designing injection moulded plastic and fabricated metal parts
• Managing CAD data, reviewing designs from suppliers and customers
• Supporting prototype builds and customer fitment trials (including site visits, UK and overseas)
• Solving engineering challenges with a practical, problem–solving approach
• Participating in cross–functional reviews to deliver robust designs on time and to budget

The Successful Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Approximately5+ years of mechanical design experience
• Proficiency with Siemens NX including surface modelling (A–class), assemblies, and 2D drawings
• Strong background in plastic injection moulding
• Understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and automotive standards
• A relevant HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
