A Mechanical Design Engineer is required for a world-leading engineering company based in the UK.

Job: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience. Excellent company benefits.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD); strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
• Attention to detail with high precision in design work.
• Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design: Create detailed designs for tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures using CAD software.
• Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and customer requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and machinists to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
• Prototyping: Develop and test prototypes to validate design concepts.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement design improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
