Mechanical Design Engineer – The Role:

  • You will be working on highly integrated multi–axis machines and intelligent in–house developed systems including optical imaging, position sensors and laser–based technologies.
  • You will be working as part of a small team sometimes autonomously and often with direct customer contact on the design & optimisation of special purpose machinery capable of high accuracy and dynamic response.
  • Designing bespoke automated machines and systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.

Mechanical Design Engineer – The Person:

  • Hold suitable engineering qualifications – Apprentice trained is preferred.
  • Possess 3+ years experience of automated special purpose machinery design.
  • Be innovative, creative and be interested to work at both the conceptual and detailed level.
  • Work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability with 3D CAD SolidWorks preferred.

You will be an enthusiastic and driven Engineer who is keen to innovate and create performance leading solutions. We are particularly keen to speak to applicants who feel they have a positive mindset and are comfortable stepping outside of their own field of expertise.
