An exciting new role has arisen in our Research and Development department. We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Mechanical and Acoustics Engineering team.
Reporting to the Mechanical and Acoustics Design team leader, this role has a broad remit. The primary focus will be supporting the development of our iconic LP12 turntable products, along with providing technical expertise and engineering solutions for all aspects of mechanics, from specifying materials to developing novel approaches for vibration control.
The Mechanical Design Engineer must develop a deep understanding of the mechanics of the LP12 to ensure we continue to extract more information from the record groove, minimizing external interference when transcribing the forces captured by the stylus.
Scientific methodology is essential. The candidate should demonstrate a systematic approach to understanding through observation, experimentation, and analysis, forming hypotheses and drawing conclusions through rigorous testing.
