Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd is helping a Gainsborough-based engineering business recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will develop concepts through to full design and production for special‑purpose machinery and material handling equipment.

You will create manufacturing drawings in Autodesk Inventor (or similar CAD) and produce technical documentation, including parts lists and spares lists. A minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering and 4 years' design experience are required with a

Qualifications

• A minimum HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 4 years of design experience, ideally in special-purpose machinery, conveyors or mechanical/material handling equipment, automated machinery or heavy engineering.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or similar design software (e.g., SolidWorks, SolidEdge).

Responsibilities

• Developing concept ideas and taking them through to full design and production.
• Creating manufacturing and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor (or similar CAD software).

The Role:

• Developing concept ideas and taking them through to full design and production.

The Person:

• A minimum HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Salary & Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE).
• Working Hours (Flexible)
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
• Friday: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm (early finish).
