Mechanical Design Engineer Position

My client is an internationally established business specializing in engineering services to the marine sector. Due to ongoing demand, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established team in Falmouth. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified and have experience in a mechanical design role. You must also have a driving licence and be based within a commutable distance of Falmouth.

Position Overview

1. Working within a team of 5, reporting to the Design Manager
2. Producing mechanical design specifications that minimize cost, improve performance, and are innovative
3. Carrying out surveys
4. Ensuring that designs are approved by relevant regulatory authorities
5. Providing technical support and advice
6. Using AutoCAD and Inventor
7. Administrative design duties

Position Requirements

1. Mechanical Engineering or similar Bachelor's degree
2. Experience within a mechanical design position
3. Able to demonstrate technical writing ability
4. Ideally proficient with AutoCAD and Inventor
5. Based within a commutable distance of Falmouth

Remuneration

• Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
• Pension
