Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers for multiple positions, offering a salary range of £25,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, plus a 5% bonus, overtime, and other benefits. Location options include Omagh, Ballygawley, Monaghan, Enniskillen, Tyrone, and Armagh. This is a full-time, permanent role (Reference: HN6807).

Company Overview

Our client is an expanding heavy metal engineering company within a larger group, with plans for a new manufacturing site and significant growth over the next three years. This position marks the beginning of exciting projects within an established design team.

Role Responsibilities

1. Lead project mechanical design from concept through development and manufacturing.
2. Utilize SolidWorks and other CAD software to develop designs, Bill of Materials, and optimize for efficiency and minimal waste.
3. Collaborate within a team environment on various projects.

Essential Criteria

1. At least 1 year of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering with similar products.
2. Competency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Pro Engineer/Creo, SolidEdge, or Inventor.
3. A relevant third-level qualification in engineering (preferred), or equivalent design experience.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
