This large UK-based, globally leading manufacturing business is currently looking to add a new member to their Engineering team.

Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for generating mechanical designs, drawings, and layouts using 3D and 2D CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The role involves developing, testing, and evaluating BOMs on ERP systems, ensuring designs are reliable and perform consistently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Generate mechanical designs, drawings, and layouts using 3D and 2D CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
2. Develop, test, and evaluate BOMs on ERP systems.
3. Ensure designs can be made reliably and will perform consistently.

Key Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
• 5 years experience designing special-purpose machinery for the food industry (desirable)
