Are you a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for engineering innovation? We are a leading OEM specializing in special-purpose machinery for the food and packaging industry, and we’re looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic engineering team.

Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will design mechanical production machinery, with each project averaging £50,000 in value and lasting between 2 to 8 weeks. This role offers the opportunity to work on bespoke machinery solutions that play a critical role in our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design special-purpose machinery for the food and packaging industries using SolidWorks.
• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee projects from concept to completion.
• Support manufacturing teams with design-related queries.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of design experience in a relevant industry.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design and modeling.
• Experience working on capital equipment projects is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
