Mechanical Design Engineer - Electro-mechanical
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £35k-£45k

Are you a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with a flair for problem-solving and development? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company known for high-quality, safety-critical technology. You'll play a key part in the design and delivery of complex electro-mechanical products, working across the full development lifecycle, from initial concepts through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop mechanical systems and assemblies for high-performance products
2. Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings
3. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams
4. Support prototyping, testing, and fault-finding
5. Participate in design reviews and apply best practices

Key Requirements:

1. Practical experience in taking a product from concept through to production
2. Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design - Solidworks
3. Experience with manufacturing methods - injection moulding and CNC machining
4. Previously designed scientific or electro-mechanical products
5. Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals - mechanism design, structural and dynamics analysis
