Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Building Services or Mechanical Design or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in mechanical design within building services.
• Good working relationships with clients and team members.
• Experience with mechanical calculations, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Take client briefs and be responsible for technical fulfilment.
• Carry out site surveys to gather information for scheme design.
• Perform mechanical design work including calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Attend project meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and focus on low carbon design.

Intermediate or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – (Building Services / MEP)

MEP Design / Building Services Design / Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Join an ambitious building services design team creating designs for a range of technical environments, project types include military manufacturing plants, data centres, marine engineering departments, engine design suites and large and complex plant rooms. It important to note that low carbon design is at the core of everything they do.

It s a modern creative consultancy and as such the engineers contributions are recognised and people treated as individuals.

Responsibilities

• Dependent on your experience level – take clients brief along with responsibility for the technical fulfilment.
• Carry out site surveys for projects, to obtain all relevant information required for carrying out scheme design.
• Undertake mechanical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings and specifications for projects. Including undertaking calculations on cable sizing, lighting selections etc
• Attend project meetings with clients and other design team members, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Taking opportunities to learn and develop your skills as an engineer
• Guiding more junior engineers.
• To work with a focus on low carbon design

Experience Required

• Building Services Degree or Mechanical Design Degree or other related higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
• At least 2 years experience mechanical design within building services
• Experience in maintaining / building good working relationships.
• Technical design experience should include mechanical calculations, drawings, specifications.
• Experience using design software
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
