A leading company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support across all project stages. Key responsibilities include producing RFIs, reviewing technical specifications, and supporting the Sales team. The ideal candidate will possess engineering experience, strong interpersonal skills, and familiarity with Autocad and Revit.

Job Title:Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary:£45,000 - £50,000

Location:Erith

About The Role

This permanent position provides comprehensive technical support to our Client's Technical department across all project stages: tenders, pre-construction, design, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and manage RFIs.
• Review project specifications and tender offers for technical compliance.
• Support Sales with tender clarifications and exclusions.
• Verify material/equipment compliance and costs.
• Contribute to Project Execution Plans (PEP).
• Support pre-construction and prefabrication/Off-Site Assembly design.
• Produce technical submittals and installation information.
• Procure major plant & equipment.
• Attend design meetings/workshops; review/produce drawings/schematics.
• Interface with internal control teams.
• Review mechanical system commissionability.
• Support testing & commissioning.
• Produce As-Built / Handover documentation.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Basic Autocad / Revit skills preferred.
