Job Description: We're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's experienced and growing team.

The role involves visiting client premises nationwide to survey and design machinery guarding solutions for both old and new machinery. The work mainly involves sheet metal design and light steel/aluminium fabricated assemblies. The client also designs and installs plastic fabricated guarding.

There is some design work related to machined components. The current design packages utilize AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and 3DS Max. Experience with one of these software is preferred.

Note: This role involves travel to and from client sites nationwide, with occasional overnight stays. Estimated travel is 3 days per week at the Halifax facility and 2 days per week at client sites, roughly 5 nights away per month.

Candidate Requirements:

• Driving licence required
• No criminal record; DBS background checks may be required for clearance, especially for Defence & Nuclear sectors
