Mechanical Design Engineer

Derby

GBP35,000 – GBP40,000 per annum + Training + Progression + Holiday + Pension

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a long–term opportunity with a respected engineering business?

Working within this established design team provides the opportunity to develop bespoke machinery solutions, using your Inventor skills to deliver high–quality outputs on key projects.

The day–to–day of this role includes producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, designing conveyors and special–purpose machinery, and supporting project delivery through collaboration with other engineers and project teams.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Inventor knowledge and a background in conveyors, machinery, or material handling systems. Candidates with experience in special–purpose machinery design would be advantageous.

The Role:

• Design of conveyors and food processing equipment
• Produce detailed drawings of new and existing designs
• Work with Inventor, Vault and AutoCAD
• Support development of special–purpose machinery
• Full–time, permanent position

The Person:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
• Knowledge of Vault and AutoCAD
• Experience with conveyors, machinery, or handling equipment
• Previous special–purpose machinery experience highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and manage workload to deadlines
