£25,000 - £40,000 depending on experience + 5% bonus + overtime (Yes, overtime) + other benefits

Location: Omagh - Ballygawley / Monaghan / Enniskillen / Tyrone / Armagh area

Our client is an expanding, established heavy metal engineering company that is part of a larger group. They are planning a new manufacturing site and have extensive growth plans for the next three years. This Mechanical Design Engineering position is just the beginning, offering an exciting opportunity to join an established design team during a period of significant development.

The role is highly project-oriented, involving mechanical design work within a team environment. Projects are taken from concept through development and design for manufacture. The role requires frequent use of SolidWorks, drawing up Bills of Materials, and designing with a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.

Essential criteria for this role of Mechanical Design Engineer (Project Design):

• At least 1 year of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering on similar products
• Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Pro Engineer / Creo, SolidEdge, or Inventor
• A relevant third-level qualification in an engineering-related subject is preferred; however, extensive relevant design experience will also be considered
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
