Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next role? Finlay Jude Associates is working with a leading company that specializes in providing solutions across the water and wastewater industry.

You will ensure that cost-effective, technically compliant, and buildable solutions are designed, approved, and handed over to the construction teams in line with programme expectations.

Responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Produce outline and detailed mechanical designs that are cost-effective and meet client specifications, which can be purchased, installed, and commissioned effectively.
• Produce and check all design deliverables including specifications, schedules, drawings, and calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with CDM Regulations.
• Utilize standard designs and practices wherever possible.
• Deliver design outputs within the agreed timescale and budget.
• Coordinate design outputs across all technical disciplines.
• Prepare monthly project status reports.
• Establish working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and efficiency.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design within the water/process industry.
• Chartered or near-chartered in a relevant construction discipline.
• Experience in the water treatment industry.
• Working knowledge of CDM and construction health & safety regulations.
