A leading consultancy in the IoT domain is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer in Cramlington. You will create advanced CAD models for a diverse range of applications while collaborating with engineers and clients. This is a full-time role requiring excellent CAD skills and a mechanical engineering background, offering the chance for meaningful problem-solving in exciting projects.

The OpportunityDue to increasing demand for our services, we are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. You will work closely alongside Mechanical Engineers, Electronics Engineers, and Instrumentation Technicians, creating 2D and 3D CAD models for a wide range of applications including automotive, transport, power generation, military, naval, and industrial machinery. You will be required to liaise with clients to establish a design specification, and bring it to fruition. This role requires full project ownership, from inception through to completion, including design, 2D and 3D modelling, manufacturing drawings, installation, calibration, acquiring data, reporting and analysis.
Essential Skills & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will be talented, passionate and hard–working, with great intuition for real–world engineering problem solving. They will have excellent team–working abilities, good personal presentation, and communication skills for liaising with clients.
Our customers are based around the globe, and ideally, you would be able to travel for occasional on–site installation and troubleshooting work.
As this is a full–time office–based role, you would need to be able to commute to our office in Cramlington, Northumberland, or be willing to relocate.
