Job summary

Reevr in Chinnor, Oxfordshire, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a hands-on team delivering technically advanced products to global customers. You will take projects from concept through design and development into production in a regulated environment.

The role requires strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks/Solid Edge/CATIA), BOM management, and a good grasp of manufacturing/CNC processes. This is a full-time, permanent on-site position with potential for growth in a dynamic engineering

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanical engineer with strong 3D CAD experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with manufacturing/CNC processes and design for manufacture.

Responsibilities

• 3D CAD design & development for mechanical products.
• Produce detailed drawings, BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Support design for manufacture and assembly and production release.

We’re working with an established and innovative engineering business in Oxfordshire, operating within a highly regulated, specialist manufacturing environment and delivering technically advanced products to global customers.

This is a great opportunity to join a hands‑on engineering team and take projects from concept -> design -> development -> production.

What you’ll be doing as aMechanical Design Engineer

• 3D CAD design & development
• Detailed drawings, BOMs & engineering documentation
• Design for manufacture & assembly
• Engineering change & configuration control
• CNC/manufacturing data
• Prototype, testing & validation support
• NPI and design reviews
• DFMEA and design risk management
• Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality & customers

What we’re looking for in a Mechanical Design Engineer

• Experienced Mechanical/Design Engineer
• Strong 3D CAD experience - SolidWorks, Solid Edge, CATIA or similar
• Experience with manufacturing/CNC processes
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings & BOMs
• Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• Ideally from aerospace, advanced manufacturing, composites or another regulated environment
