Capgemini Engineering is looking to recruit Design Engineers with knowledge of non-conformance within an aerospace/marine engineering background.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary between Company offices, client sites, and your home based on role, needs, and business requirements. Please note, working from home 100% of the time is not possible.

Upon successful offer, you will undergo pre-employment checks including identity, nationality or immigration status, employment history for the past 3 years, and a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your Role

As a Non-conformance Design Engineer within the Capgemini Engineering Design Engineering department, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assessment of non-conformance via Concession/Deviation Permit/Drawing Alteration Request (DAR)
  2. Issuing reports on Concession/Deviation Permit/DAR submissions to support disposition
  3. Writing Technical Assessment Reports (TARs)
  4. Assessing engineering drawings
  5. Performing tolerancing calculations and bolt checks
  6. Liaising with non-conformance specialists
  7. Following procedures and specifications
  8. Applying Design for Manufacture (DfM) best practices

Your Skills and Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience designing aero/marine-engine systems and components (e.g., compressor, turbine, combustor, bearings, seals, casings, fittings)
  • Knowledge of aerospace/marine manufacturing processes (desirable)
  • Manufacturing, Producibility, Concession, NCE, SAR, DAR, TAD, AR, PDG, process experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet client needs
  • Experience liaising with specialist teams (stress, materials)
  • Effective teamwork skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Proactive attitude with strong reporting skills

Successful candidates will undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, though recent residence outside the UK may require additional checks.
