Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for the next step in your career?

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering firm, in a permanent position. Our client is looking to build their Mechanical team, so Senior and Engineer levelapplications will be considered.

This is a great opportunity to work on water and wastewater projects with an experienced team. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis – 3 days in our clients Birmingham office, 2 days working from home.

Flexible working and hybrid arrangement.

Competitive salary between 45,000– 62,000 (depending on experience).

Key Responsibilities:

–Design mechanical installations and ensure alignment with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

–Coordinate with internal teams, clients, authorities, contractors, and suppliers throughout all project phases.

–Conduct site surveys and support feasibility, outline, and detailed design work.

–Contribute to bids, business development, and technical standards, including procedures and specifications.

–Mentor colleagues, drive innovation, support digital tool adoption, and represent the company in knowledge–sharing forums and conferences.

What we are looking for:

–Degree–qualified in mechanical engineering.

–Strong UK water/wastewater experience.

–Proven leadership and technical skills, including team, project, or multi–discipline management.

–Proficient in 3D design tools and relevant engineering software.

–Chartered engineer (or working towards) with a recognised professional institution.
