Blueprint Recruitment is excited to present a fantastic opportunity with our client, an international engineering consultancy. They are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent staff basis, in Bath.
Our client is focused on delivering sustainable solutions for the built environment across various sectors, including air and rail, education, healthcare, commercial, sport and entertainment.
Key Responsibilities:
–Design mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating) to meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulations.
–Create technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for mechanical systems.
–Collaborate with other engineers to integrate mechanical systems with architectural and structural designs.
–Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements and are on track.
–Ensure all designs comply with industry best practices and project specifications.
Key Requirements:
–A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
–Proven experience in mechanical design engineering.
–Strong knowledge of building services and mechanical systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
–Extensive experience using mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, IESVE, or similar).
–Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
–Familiarity with relevant building regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.
