An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fast–growing and dynamic organisation specialising in school refurbishment projects under government–backed contracts. You'll be responsible for the end–to–end design of mechanical systems will full autonomy over your work to support multiple education–sector projects across Basildon and surrounding areas.

This is a key technical role for an Mechanical Design Engineer within a company undergoing significant growth, offering a clear progression pathway into senior design or engineering management roles. You'll be part of a collaborative team working on long–term frameworks with a steady pipeline of school and public sector refurbishment projects.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and layouts for school refurbishment projects
• Produce detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and load calculations in compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Work alongside project managers, site teams, and external consultants to ensure design intent is maintained through to completion

The Mechanical Design Engineer will have:
