Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Banbridge
Salary: £35K-£50K
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an innovative Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on truly unique and custom-built products?

MCS Group are pleased to be working with a well-established and highly respected manufacturer based in Banbridge who are seeking a talented engineer to join their growing design team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company where no two projects are the same.

About the Role:

You will play a key role in the design and development of bespoke mechanical systems and products, working from concept through to manufacture. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background and a passion for engineering creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for custom-built products
• Produce detailed 2D & 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software
• Collaborate with clients, project managers and manufacturing teams to deliver tailored solutions
• Conduct design reviews and implement improvements based on testing and feedback
• Ensure designs meet performance, cost and safety requirements

About You:

• Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in a mechanical design role
• Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication techniques and mechanical systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
