Mechanical Design Engineer, upto £45K, Commutable from Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire

• Rapidly growing multi-site engineering consulting business providing expert mechanical design, engineering, and project management expertise to the energy and utilities sectors for the net-zero era.

• Salary commensurate with experience (up to approx. £45K as a guide) + 10-20% annual bonus + pension + 25 days holiday (bank holidays in addition) + private health + gym membership.

An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer with some experience of cathodic protection to work at the forefront of the UKs next-generation energy infrastructure.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Working on high pressure pipeline and plant systems projects.

• Providing project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover.

• Preparing project plans to ensure work is carried out in accordance with client requirements.

• Providing engineering designs, ensuring good engineering practices are maintained.

• Undertake site surveys and provide analysis of findings within technical reports.

• Apply professional engineering principles, judgement, and innovative thinking to design projects.

Your background as a Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Previous experience of working within a mechanical design focussed role combined with a strong understanding of the principals of mechanical engineering.

• Previous experience in of working within the gas transmission or plant systems or a similar regulated industry sector would be advantageous.

• You will be degree qualified (2:1 and above classification) in a Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
