The Role
We are looking for a hard working Mechanical Design Engineer, that has experience within either heavy machinery, construction, engineering or agricultural industries.
The ideal candidate must be an Engineer with a commercial mindset, and have the ability to follow a product through its entire lifecycle; from concept through production and beyond.
You must have great communication skills, be a team player, collaborative and not afraid to share knowledge/successes with the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
* Work alone or as a team to design machines from concept through to production
* Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
* Perform design validation and verification through simulations and analysis.
* Develop and revise engineering documentation, including BOMs and assembly instructions.
* Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
* Support manufacturing teams with design-related issues and improvements.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Experience & Qualifications
* SolidWorks (Required)
* CAD modelling (Required)
* Mechanical design (Machinery based - Required)
* Product development (Required)
* Understanding of FEA - stress analysis (Beneficial)
* Simulation and analysis (Beneficial)
* Understanding of Hydraulics and Electrics (Beneficial)
* Experience with design validation and verification processes
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
MUST be able to complete physical, manual job as this may come up from time to time in product testing.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
* Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks
