SSE plc is recruiting for a Mechanical Craftsperson at our Foyers/Inverness site to maintain, repair and oversee hydro generation plant. You’ll operate within a dedicated operations team, ensuring safe, reliable performance of rotating machinery and associated equipment.
The role requires NVQ3/City & Guilds or equivalent, good computer literacy, and a valid UK driving licence. Relocation within 30 miles of the base may be needed.
Base Location: Foyers Power Station, Inverness
Salary: SS04 £34,749 - £40,939 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent| Full Time
As Mechanical Craftsperson, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of our Hydro Generation plant to ensure it is kept in a safe and efficient state. You’ll be an important member of the operations and maintenance team, performing a key role in the safe operation and maintenance of the Hydro Generation assets.
A full and valid UK driving licence is essential, and a first aid qualification would be advantageous.
