A leading company in the energy sector is seeking an Advanced Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive cost reduction and enhance product affordability. In this pivotal role, you will use your engineering expertise to implement innovative cost-saving strategies while ensuring compliance with quality standards. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will deliver impactful results that align with customer needs and organizational goals, bolstered by a strong focus on continuous improvement and technical compliance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Cost Reduction Strategy Development: Analyse current production products and processes to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and performance.
Product Impact Analysis: Evaluate the technical and functional impact of proposed cost-reduction changes on product performance, reliability, and compliance with customer requirements.
Design change implementation: Drive design change implementation through prototype development, testing, and comprehensive documentation to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams to develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers to communicate proposed changes, address concerns, and ensure alignment with their expectations.
Continuous Improvement: Apply creative problem-solving and lean principles to identify ongoing opportunities for cost optimization.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with cost-reduction changes to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Technical Expertise Application: Leverage your engineering knowledge to creatively solve challenges and innovate solutions that balance cost, quality, and delivery.
Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure all cost-reduction initiatives comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
