Managing Mechanical & M&E projects/contracts in the Belfast region for a reputable UK TFM M&E Contractor who provides first-class integrated services delivery for public and private sector clients.

The Mechanical Contract Manager/M&E Project Manager FM, job itself where you will manage and deliver on, all aspects of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical bias M&E professional to take charge of overseeing both reactive or projects work for mechanical and electrical teams. More specifically:

Reactive Maintenance

  • Lead and oversee all project work activities for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Prioritise and assign tasks to ensure quick resolution of any issues.

Planned Maintenance

  • Ensure the delivery of planned maintenance, and project works
  • Some level of MTC experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Develop mobile working solutions and track remedial actions across all planned works.

Resource Management

  • Manage and mentor a team of M&E technicians.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to drive team performance and skill growth.

Operational Management

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency.
  • Drive improvements in planned maintenance processes and mobile solutions.

Customer Communication

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Work closely with the service delivery team to maintain clear communication with clients.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Stock Management

Oversee the procurement and management of spare parts, ensuring each team has adequate supplies.

You will have

To be successful as Mechanical Contract Manager/M&E Project Manager FM, you will be an experienced and qualified Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager with facilities management experience. Previous Energy Decarbonisation scheme experience would be advantageous, plus a healthy mix of the following:

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong experience managing projects for M&E teams.
  • In-depth hands-on experience in M&E engineering, with comprehensive knowledge of maintenance practices.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualifications.
