Qualifications

  • Ensure compliance with UKCA standards and project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain and update the Project Completion System for all mechanical scopes.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a site based in the South East of England.


Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all systems, interfaces, construction, and commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently, and with environmental responsibility, in line with project objectives and milestones.
  2. Supervise and manage the commissioning of mechanical equipment on the Gas Stage 2 Project.
  3. Contribute to the development and review of Mechanical Commissioning Procedures, including authorship where required.
  4. Coordinate mechanical construction and commissioning activities for all pumps and rotating equipment, ensuring seamless preparation and execution.
  5. Safely supervise all personnel involved in mechanical activities, including vendors, contractors, and operations staff.
  6. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with UKCA standards, relevant legislation, and project-specific requirements.
  7. Maintain and update the Project Completion System (Projectools) for all mechanical scopes of work.
  8. Provide accurate and timely input into project planning and reporting requirements.
  9. Ensure all changes and modifications are controlled and properly communicated in accordance with As-Built Control Procedures.
  10. Manage discipline-specific changes in line with the project’s Management of Change process.
  11. Be responsible for the safe, efficient, and technically correct construction and commissioning of Mechanical equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline), with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including significant time in a Mechanical Lead role.
  2. Proven experience in the installation and start-up of pumps and compressors – essential.
  3. Strong computer literacy, with the ability to effectively use relevant software and digital tools in a project environment.

Contract Duration - 9 months.
