Job description

We are recruiting a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer for our client based in Sheffield S9.

This is a temporary to permanent position working Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and 8.30am to 2pm on Fridays.

£13.50 per hour plus depending on experience, initially on a 3 month trial basis.

The role will include-

Designing and detailing products to strict manufacturing standards
Project responsibility from concept to completion
Re-engineering existing designs to suit latest requirements
Preparation of full detail manufacturing drawings- (2D&3D)
Responsibility for maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems

The ideal candidate will have experience of-

AutoCad 2D and Solid Works 3D
Knowledge of CAD design engineering
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001
Design experience in mechanical, fabrication and engineering disciplines
Being able to work on own initiative, multitasking and flexible work ethic

The role will also involve some customer interaction and site visits as necessary so a valid car licence would be an advantage.
