Job summary

HDR is seeking a Digital Design Specialist (Mechanical) to contribute to building mechanical projects in London, Glasgow, and Manchester. You’ll generate discipline models, deliver BIM outputs, and coordinate with other disciplines using Revit and 3D coordination tools.

This role supports HDR’s mission to design critical infrastructure and digital environments with precision, creativity, and collaboration. The position requires a technical degree, at least three years of relevant experience, and

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent with related industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years related industry experience.
• Detailed working knowledge of Revit and ACC/Forma.
• Experience with 3D Coordination tools (ACC/Forma, Navisworks).
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Experience working on large or multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Generate BIM elements and maintain discipline model per DDP and project scope.
• Create and maintain discipline model and digital delivery output.
• Model BIM elements using current 3D software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams within scope, schedule and budget.
• Maintain discipline model information, coordinates, scales, and views.
• Produce discipline documentation with accurate annotations.
• Monitor and maintain company standards and model health.
• Coordinate designs with other discipline models through reviews and 3D coordination.
• Assist or execute additional digital delivery requirements.
