Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias role in West Yorkshire (Huddersfield area) offering £38,790 per annum. Monday–Friday with rotating 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 shifts.

Permanent position within a manufacturing environment, focusing on keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment, diagnose faults, fabricate parts as needed, and support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsabilidades

The Company

10 Recruitment are working with an established manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias to join their technical team.

This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for keeping machinery, equipment and premises operating safely and efficiently, whilst also supporting continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electro-mechanical faults
• Maintaining machinery and site premises
• Manufacturing and fabricating machine parts where required
• Supporting TPM and continuous improvement activities
• Helping to improve machinery reliability and production efficiency
• Working in line with health, safety and quality procedures
• Promoting good manufacturing practice
• Working independently whilst also supporting the wider engineering team

About You

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience
• Electro-mechanical experience
• Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manufacture or fabricate machine parts
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong understanding of health & safety and quality standards

Desirable Experience

• Power press experience
• Metal forming machinery
• Welding/fabrication experience
• Experience within a similar manufacturing environment
• TPM / continuous improvement experience
• Abrasive wheel training
• Previous involvement in Health & Safety initiatives
