Mechanical Assembly Technician

4-day working week! / Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottingham

The Company
This successful company assembles bracketry and conveyor systems to integrate its devices into its customers’ parent machines. From small clamps and mounting arrangements to complete conveyor lines, each project is tailored to meet the unique needs of its customers.

The Job
As each job can vary, they are looking for someone who can adapt to customer needs and rise to the challenge of building new systems. They also assemble control enclosures in-house for their conveying systems and complete all integration as well.

Responsibilities:
• Machine stock parts using Manual Mill and Lathe
• Assemble mechanical brackets from in-house 3D Models
• Assemble Conveying Systems from 3D Models
• Cut and prepare in-house-made items
• Use and maintain 3D printers

About You
• Experience using Manual Lathes and Milling Machines
• Experience in an engineering workshop
• Able to read mechanical schematics and understand mechanical 3D modelling
• Computer literacy is essential as all assembly drawings are 3D models accessed via a laptop
