Proactive Global is urgently recruiting a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a world leading organisation in Stoke-on-Trent. You will work with a skilled production team assembling high-value equipment, alongside Manufacturing Engineers and other departments.

The role requires time-served mechanical experience, ability to read drawings, and experience with precision assembly and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanical experience is essential.
• Ability to read/interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Understanding of mechanical fasteners, bearings, gears, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Experience in precision assembly or working with complex machinery.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment; knowledge of design for manufacture in production.

Responsabilités

• Assemble mechanical components and complete systems to engineering specifications.
• Carry out testing of sub-assemblies, including pressure, leak, and coolant system testing.
• Accurately record assembly work, test results, and any modifications completed.
• Work within quality standards and audited processes.
• Support product quality assurance activities, including root cause analysis of failed hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical and production issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area

Mechanical Assembly Technician urgently required to work for a world leading organisation, you will be part of a skilled production team responsible for assembling technically complex, high-value products. This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking business where you will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers and multiple internal departments to build state of the art equipment. We are looking for experienced Mechanical assembly technicians who can develop and grow within the role that would lead to future progression and responsibilities.

Desirable Experience

• BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Degree in a relevant mechanical or engineering discipline.
• Experience working with pressure systems and ultra-high vacuum systems.
• Experience using lifting equipment.
• Forklift truck and scissor lift operation experience.
