Job description

Proactive Global is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler Supervisor to join one of our clients based in Slough - SL1.

Salary: 42k per annum

Location: Slough, SL1

Your daily duties will include:

• Leading and managing the mechanical assembly team, providing hands-on support during peak periods or to resolve issues.
• Using data and production metrics to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Ensuring all assembly processes comply with company standards and safety regulations.
• Developing, coaching, and mentoring team members to improve skills and performance.
• Collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to optimize assembly processes.
• Maintaining accurate production, quality, and safety documentation and reports.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Ensuring a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly with supervisory or team lead roles.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze production metrics and implement solutions.
• Hands-on approach with flexibility to assist on the floor as needed.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship preferred.
