Videojet Technologies, a Veralto company, is offering a 36-month Mechanical Assembly Engineer Apprenticeship based onsite in Nottingham. You will learn to assemble, inspect, test and improve products, supported by a mentor throughout the program.

Qualifications

• English and mathematics at entry requirements.
• Interest or achievement in design, engineering, technology or practical subjects.
• Genuine interest in practical engineering and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, job packs and approved work instructions.
• Check components, fixings and materials before using hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Prepare and assemble brackets, guards, frames, conveyors and mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Perform visual, dimensional and completeness checks, recording results and escalating issues.
• Support functional testing, basic fault-finding and continuous improvement within competence.
• Complete provider learning and portfolio evidence while gaining cross-functional experience.
