Mechanical Assembly Operator

Details: Temp to Perm, Days, £12.73 per hour, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday

I am recruiting Mechanical Assemblers for a busy Manufacturing and Engineering company near Yeadon, Leeds.

Requirements include previous Mechanical Assembly or Production build experience, ability to follow written engineering/technical drawings, soldering skills, and proficiency with hand, air, and power tools. Knowledge of Manual Handling Techniques is essential due to the heavy lifting involved.

The role involves intricate work requiring good dexterity. The work is repetitive, focusing on assembling similar units daily. Typical duties include:

  • Basic assembly work
  • Drilling
  • Soldering
  • Operating hand tools
  • Cleaning and tidying the workspace

Working hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 11:45am on Friday. Overtime is paid at time and a half. The position is advertised as Temp to Perm for suitable candidates.
