Job title: Mechanical Assembly Engineer

Who are we recruiting for?

Our client, a leader in the development of pioneering subsea robotics and autonomous systems, is seeking a talented Mechanical Assembly Engineer to strengthen their forward-thinking engineering team.

What will you be doing?


  • Assembling high-spec mechanical subsystems including propulsion units and structural components for advanced subsea vehicles

  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and CAD models with precision

  • Applying SOPs and strict quality control processes for accurate and reliable builds

  • Selecting and fitting fasteners and seals for pressure-rated marine applications

  • Collaborating with engineers to overcome build challenges and support sea trial preparations

  • Qualified with hands-on mechanical assembly experience in marine, aerospace, or robotic sectors

  • Confident working from detailed CAD and technical schematics

  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, torque equipment, and fine measurement instruments

  • Familiar with cleanroom or controlled build environments

  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong teamwork and communication skills
