Mechanical Assembler (Machine Build)

Taunton, Somerset

A£18.29 Per Hour DOE + Premium Overtime Rates (5-10 Hours per Month) + Increasing Holidays (Up to 25 Days) + Bank Holidays + Free Parking + Sick Pay

37.5 Hours per Week - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30, Friday 08:00 to 13:30

Mechanical Assembler required to work in a varied and technically challenging role. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company with a global reputation during a busy period of growth.

Candidates will need to be a mechanical engineer with experience working in a technical assembly / machine fitting position. You will hold a relevant mechanical qualification and will have experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, hand tools and power tools.

Working in a team of 5-6 people, the successful Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for building and assembling special purpose machinery based from engineering drawings.

The Mechanical Assembler Role:

A· Building and assembling special purpose machinery
A· Working from engineering drawings
A· Using hand and power tools
A· Fitter bearings, taper lock pulleys and gears
A· Working with hydraulic and pneumatic pipework
A· Quality checks

The Mechanical Assembler Candidate:

A· Experienced mechanical fitter / engineer
A· Hold a mechanical engineering qualification
A· Experience using hand and power tools
